ACCUTASK - FAQ

What is the AccuTask workstation?

A pre-integrated, mobile robotic work cell built on heavy-duty steel construction with industrial casters and leveling feet, topped with a stainless steel table carrying a standard welding fixture thread pattern. You choose the robot — collaborative or industrial — and the options. It arrives ready to work and can be rolled to wherever the job is, rather than fixed to one spot on your floor.

How much does a robotic workstation like this cost?

A cobot-based workstation typically lands in the range of a mid-size CNC machine rather than a full automation line — the exact figure depends on which robot you choose, the end effector, whether you add vision, and how much custom fixturing your parts need. The more useful number is payback period, which for a single-shift machine tending application is commonly one to two years. We will build that calculation against your actual labor and cycle times.

Should I use a collaborative robot or an industrial robot?

Use a cobot when the work changes often, floor space is tight, and you need people working nearby without full guarding. Use an industrial robot when cycle time is the constraint, payloads are heavy, or the part runs unchanged for years. Cobots trade speed and payload for flexibility and deployment speed. The AccuTask frame accepts either, so the decision is about your application rather than about the workstation.

How long does it take to program?

For most cobot applications, minutes — the operator physically guides the arm through the motion and the robot records it. No code, and no dedicated programmer. Complex applications with vision, conditional logic, or machine integration take longer and we handle that setup during commissioning, then train your team to modify it.

What applications does the AccuTask handle?

Pick-and-place, machine tending, packaging, loading and unloading, inspection, assisted material handling, sorting, light machining, and polishing. If you are unsure whether your specific task automates well, describe it to us — we would rather tell you it is a poor fit than sell you a cell that disappoints.

Do you provide training and ongoing support?

Yes. Every installation includes operator training, and we provide ongoing support as an authorized FANUC and DOOSAN integrator. The goal is that the cell belongs to your team and they can retask it themselves — a workstation that only we can reprogram is not much of an asset.
